To help needy and deserving children of SPWU members, the following bursary award is offered by SPWU:- (Must be SPWU Union member for 3 years)
(a) Pre-University - $500 per annum (2/3 years)
(b) ITE - $500 per annum
(b) Polytechnic - $700 per annum (2/3 years)
(c) University - $1,500 per annum
SPWU organises annually all expenses paid tour for members by ballot. (Must be SPWU Union member for 5 years)
An educational grant of $80 is given to members' children who are admitted to primary One. (Must be SPWU Union member for 1 year)
SPWU members are given souvenirs annually.
Union members are eligible to apply for NTUC Link Card. For first time applicants, cost of card will be absorbed by SPWU. For detailed benefits offered by NTUC, please click here.
Hospital visits are conducted by SPWU Care and Share Committee. Each hospitalised member is given a food hamper.
Members are eligible for reimbursement of 20 per cent ward charges incurred at Government Hospitals up to $200.00 per calendar year.
The policy covers eligible members and their spouses up to age 65 years of age ie before their 65th birthday.
